It's always best to use organic ingredients when creating all of your cocktail beverages. Keep this in mind when creating this yummy fall Pomegranate Martini
- 2 Large Fuji Apple
- 5 Large Pomegranates
- 4 Ounces Absolut HibisKus Vodka Or plain vodka
- 1 Teaspoon Stevia
- 1 Bag Lemon Sugar
- 2 12 ounce Martini Glasses
- 1 Juicer
- 1 Juice Press or Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice Maker
- 1 Funnel
- 1 Martini Shaker
First wash and juice your apples inside your juicer, be sure to strain it through a mesh strainer before using. Set it in your coldest part of the refrigerator.
Wash and press your Pomegranate juice using your orange juice maker or orange press. Set in the coldest area of your refrigerator.
Pour the Stevia on a flat plate. Turn your martini glass upside down and twirl it into the Stevia so that the rim of the glass is coated with the liquid. Next pour the lemon sugar on to a flat plate and using the same glass twirl the glass into the lemon sugar to get the lemon sugar to attach to the rim of the glass. The sugar will not stick without the sugar. Using lemon like bartenders does not work either.
Slowly pour 2 ounces of the Absolut HibsKus Vodka inside each glass. Be careful not to get the rim of the glass wet when pouring. You could use a shaker with ice to chill the vodka first and infuse the juices and the vodka at this point or do them separately.
I would highly recommend using a funnel to pour the combined juices so that you don't mess up the rim of the glass. Pour pomegranate juice 3/4 of the way into the martini glass and sweeten to taste with the apple juice.
I personally do not use the apple juice at all but some people can't do the bitter taste of pomegranate.
The sugar can be replaced with sugarless candy which you can grind up in a coffee grinder and use it as the rim. The candy comes in different color varies found at your local food store. Feel free to leave the sugar off the rim if necessary. There are many other options like adding a fruit garnish. Slice an apple wedge and place it onto the side of the glass for a elegant look.
